Now, why am I writing this?  Well, when I was considering whether to sign-up for the free trial of Market Samurai there weren’t many true reviews around in my opinion listing the positives and negatives of the keyword research tool software, so I thought I’d write one to help any of you who are in the same situation.

What Exactly is Market Samurai?

 
Market Samurai is a Google keyword search tool software created by the Australian-based company Noble Samurai.

Regarded as the best keyword research tool on the web, Market Samurai is much more than just a keyword tool.  It is a thorough keyword search, in-depth domain name analysis, optimal content location and creation, and ideal backlink location tool all rolled into one!  And that’s just for starters…

In all, the Market Samurai software application consists of eight function-packed modules.  Whether you are a newbie or a pro when it comes to Internet marketing or have nothing to do with Internet marketing and are just looking for the best tools to streamline and promote your online business when it comes to finding profitable keywords, Market Samurai is exactly what the doctor ordered.

Why is it Known as the ‘Google External Keyword Tool Killer’?

 
If you have ever used Google’s own tool (I’m sure most of you have), you know that Google’s keyword search tool allows you to locate similar-like keywords from your main keyword while displaying the level of competition and the local and global monthly keyword search volumes.  For most, this is adequate.  However for those who really want to gain an advantage over the competition, a more detailed keyword research analysis is necessary.

This is where Market Samurai can give you that competitive advantage when it comes to keyword research.  Not only can you generate the monthly search volumes for your keywords, Market Samurai can show you estimated weekly and even daily search volumes.  But Market Samurai doesn’t stop there.  Market Samurai also shows you which keywords carry the highest value; in other words, which keywords tend to bring money-spending visitors to your sites.

What are the Cons of Market Samurai?

 
Just like with everything in the world today, nothing is perfect.  Here’s what I consider to be the negative aspects of the software for you to take into consideration:

• You don’t have access to all of the modules in the trial version.  While the modules that you do have access to are the ones that you will use the most, it would have been ideal to have had complete access to the application.

• The free trial version is limited.  When you sign-up for the free trial, you are given 12 days to decide whether to upgrade to the full version or lose access to the software indefinitely.

• Upgrading to the full version is not free.  You have two options here: 1) you can purchase the full version of Market Samurai outright for $149 or 2) you can sign-up for the free trial first (recommended option).  If you take option #2, you will receive an email from Noble Samurai informing you that if you purchase Market Samurai within the first 7 days of your 12 day trial, you will be able to buy the software for $97 instead of $149, which is a 35% savings.

What are the Pros of Market Samurai?

 
Now for the positives:

• Detailed online tutorials.  Learning how to use a software application as detailed as Market Samurai is never easy.  I have spent my fair-share of time in online tutorials and I must say that I have never seen a company do it better than Noble Samurai.  Not only do the online tutorials come with easy to understand videos, but they also include step-by-step screen shots of what can be seen in the videos with the narrator’s script included.  This is ideal if you don’t want to watch the video but want to see the topic of discussion.

• Receive search results up to 800 keywords.  Once you register your Google Adwords account inside the application, you increase the maximum number of keyword search results possible from 100 all the way to 800.

• Track the rank of your keywords.  Always wanted to check your current positions in Google, Yahoo!, and Bing search engines simultaneously at any time?  You can with the rank tracker module.

• Free software updates.  As Market Samurai is still in beta mode, you will receive free software updates as the Noble Samurai staff continuously aim to improve the market research tool.

• So much more than a keyword research tool.  The eight modules in Market Samurai pretty much cover the entire spectrum when it comes to locating and implementing optimized keywords for your sites to bring you increased traffic and, more importantly, higher profits.

My Final Words…

 
And so we come to the end of my Market Samurai Review.  Overall, this is one of the most (if not THE most) impressive and complete market research keyword tools that I have experienced.

As you can try the software for free for 12 days, you really have nothing to lose and all to gain. 
After testing the software, if you are not satisfied, no worries.  You won’t be billed.  In fact, you can’t be billed as you never enter your credit card information in order to access the free version in the first place.  However, if you are like me, I’m sure you will see the benefits and want to make Market Samurai an essential tool in your arsenal as you seek higher profits in the online business world.

As a person who has taken Market Samurai out for a test drive during the trial period and eventually purchased the full version to gain access to all of the software application’s tools, I thought it would be beneficial to give you an overview of the market research tools and the other functions that are available inside of Market Samurai.

As the function’s name states, keyword research is the name of the game.  Just enter in your main keyword and let Market Samurai take care of the rest from researching to analyzing to generating hundreds of similar-like keyword terms from your main keyword for you to consider.

Some of the features include:

• Saving projects
• Exporting keywords to Excel
• Compiling the average daily, weekly, and monthly keyword search volumes
• Auto-filtering keywords by the average daily, weekly, and monthly search traffic data

SEO Competition

Haven’t you always wanted to know who was your competition so you would know exactly what you were up against when it came to ranking high for a particular keyword?  Well now you can as Market Samurai takes care of this by giving you an analysis of the current top 10 ranking sites in Google for your target keywords.

Some of the analysis features include:

• Listing the domain age of top ranking competing sites
• Listing the page rank of top ranking competing sites
• Including the number of page backlinks of top ranking competing sites
• Including the number of domain backlinks of top ranking competing sites
• Including the number of .edu/.gov backlinks of top ranking competing sites

Domains

Once you have found your ideal keyword(s), the next step for many is to check and see if the target domain name is available before proceeding.  As a convenience, Market Samurai has this function built into the software whereby you don’t have to go to another site to check the availability of domain names.  And if by chance your target domain name is taken, Market Samurai lists tens of alternate domain names for you to consider.

Monetization

This feature is ideal for Internet marketers as it allows you to find products to promote without having to access the site directly from major affiliate programs such as ClickBank, Amazon, Commission Junction, and PayDotCom.  You are even able to generate targeted ads based on your chosen keywords or your web site content compatible with ClickBank HopAds, Google Adsense, eBay Editor Kit, and Amazon Omakase.

Find Content

Looking to find articles and related content on the web that are relevant to your keyword?  If so, there is no need to look any further.  Market Samurai allows you to search through article directories such as Ezine Articles, Article City, and Go-Articles in addition to other content-based sites like Google Blog Search, YouTube, and Flickr in order to compare and contrast the relative popularity or authority of the specific pieces of content that you find.

Publish Content

Once you have found some appealing content, the publish content function in Market Samurai will allow you to take that content and upload it directly to your WordPress blog should you have one.  This is just another added feature that allows you to work directly from within the Market Samurai interface.

Promotion

Looking for high-quality backlink opportunities?  Market Samurai allows you to search through web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, and Weebly to name a few.  In addition, the search function also allows you to scan through various blog and forum sites such as Google Blog, WordPress, and phpBB.  Once you locate content of interest, you can then analyze it by page rank, number of backlinks, and also whether the particular site accepts “do follow” links before proceeding to leave a comment.

Rank Tracker

Always wanted to check your current positions in Google, Yahoo!, and Bing search engines simultaneously?  The rank tracker function allows you to do that but doesn’t stop there for you can also monitor over time how the rank of your keywords rise and fall in the major search engines.  This analysis can be very valuable if you are looking to maintain a top ranking or increase your site’s rank towards the top.

As you can see, Market Samurai encompasses many market research tools to aid in first locating ideal keywords to then seeing who the competitors are in addition to monitoring where your site(s) lie in the rankings of the major search engines.

As there are limitations to what I can write about Market Samurai, I thought what not a better way than for the Noble Samurai team to give you an introduction on how to find relevant keywords using their Google external keyword tool as images do tend to speak louder than words.

So without further ado, I’ll let them take over in the following video clip.

For those of you not familiar with other keyword research tools outside of Google’s own keyword tool (yes, I know this may surprise some of you but there are alternatives), I will go into more detail surrounding the Market Samurai keyword research tool in my next post so definitely come back and check this site again.

For this post, I thought it would be worthwhile to highlight Noble Samurai, which is the organization that developed the “acclaimed” best keyword tool on web – Market Samurai.

Based in Victoria, Australia, which is the second most populous state in the country and home to the city of Melbourne, Noble Samurai has been in operation since the launch of its Internet marketing tool – Market Samurai in the summer of 2008.

As a 12 member team headed by Eugene Ware, who is also the co-creator of the system for building profitable online businesses – Underachiever, Eugene and the rest of the Noble Samurai gang were tired of dealing with ambiguous data and statistics from the available online market research service providers back in 2008.  Not being able to find an appropriate keyword tool for their means, the Noble Samurai team decided to take matters into their own hands and created their own market research tool.

After launching Market Samurai, the positive response from the public was more than they could have imagined.  From the success they received with Market Samurai, the masterminds of Noble Samurai decided to expand their Internet marketing arsenal to meet the demands of the industry by developing two other software applications named appropriately Domain Samurai and Article Samurai.  While Domain Samurai can be accessed via the Market Samurai application, Article Samurai is still under development but is expected to be launched to the public soon.
